The Tilling Place
Cultivating what we need to feel alive
Welcome to the tilling place!
Here we make room for curiosity, for embodied wisdom, and for practices that help us reconnect with ourselves and one another.
This isn’t about becoming someone new, but about cultivating a greater sense of compassion for ourselves and courage to act in alignment with our values and desires.
Just as healthy soil is cultivated before anything can grow, we are shaped by the relationships, practices, and environments that invite us into deeper connection. The Tilling Place is an evolving practice of cultivating those conditions.
I’m not here to fix or solve, but to find connections and encourage our curiosity so we can follow it towards a deepened sense of presence and interdependence in the world.
My background training is as a somatic mind body coach, a death doula, a community facilitator, consultant, religious professional, educator, and multi-disciplinary artist, and youth worker. For more information about me and my approach, check out my about me page. More on my offerings below.
What I offer
-
One on one sessions to support your present and future goals. Framed in a Mind Body somatic coaching container, I’ll help to assess and set goals based on your interests and desires and collaborate with you to support them. Whether you’re navigating grief, creative blocks, burn out, spiritual or existential anxiety, life transitions, or a desire to deepen your connection to self, I’m here to help!
My approach combined somatic, creative, and ritual based practices curated to your comfort and needs.
I also offer coaching that combines my anti-racism work in supporting people in decentering whiteness, navigating blended families, and working through identity issues.
-
I offer workshops, group facilitation, and consulting for organizations of any size seeking to cultivate more equitable, sustainable, and values oriented ways of working together and serving their communities.
My approach is focused on joyful practices of solidarity and non judgemental education around topics that impact our inter personal dynamics and capacity to collaborate.
Whatever the container, growth cannot be rushed.
As adrienne maree brown says, we move at the speed of trust. I believe in an emergent practice that is shaped through attention, time, and relationship.

I hold a certification as a death doula from the Home Hospice Association. While I do work with individuals 1:1 to advocate for a death that holds onto their integrity, I also carry this work into other areas. Doula work is a care giving act, a support system that honours grief, agency, legacy, and a deep tenderness of our ever changing world and experiences.
I bring this work of honouring grief and finding empowerment in death, in change, into my coaching for those interested in exploring this topic. I also offer group experiences around engaging with grief, and grief work is woven into many of the materials I offer.
Additionally, I bring this doula work into my work with organizations and institutions who are facing major transitions. Whether that’s winding down programming or transitioning offers, grief work is also part of community organizing and supporting non profits and institutions. In our ever changing climate, many organizations are often faced with financial precarity as funding bodies become harder to reach. Sometimes that means making the hard decision to close your doors. Let me help you with that transition, to ensure that your legacy can close as smoothly as possible and that the knowledge you’ve gained and impact you’ve had lives on.
